Scotland’s Gallery Trail, Grampian, is aimed at art lovers who visit, or live in the area, who want to see what this part of the art world has to offer, and take in the spectacular scenery along the route.
The trail consists of 14 galleries, Milton Art Gallery of Crathes, Lang Byre Gallery of Banchory, Larks Gallery and McEwan Gallery of Ballater, Braemar Gallery of Braemar, Lost Gallery of Strathdon, Tomintoul Art Gallery of Tomintoul, Logie Steading Art Gallery of Forres, Still Life Studio of Aberlour, Leap Studio & Gallery of Craigellachie, Just Art of Fochabers, Meadowlands and Duff House of Banff, and Touched by Scotland of Oyne.
Scotland’s Gallery Trail is in its fifth year and is entirely self funded by the partners themselves. Leaflets have been distributed widely and are also available from the galleries direct.

A selection of the galleries are open late every First Thursday, except January, for the Gallery Crawl. The idea behind this initiative is that friends of the gallery trail will get used to the idea that on the First Thursday of every month certain galleries will remain open for business much later, and make it easier for customers to "crawl" from one venue to another. As a marketing initiative to create gallery awareness to a wider audience John Lowrie Morrison - Jolomo has commented, "I think the Gallery Crawl is a great and unique idea".
Any other galleries throughout Grampian who want to participate and promote awareness of Scotland's Gallery Trail or the First Thursday Gallery Crawl can contact Leap Gallery on 01340 881226 or lesley@leap-scotland.com
