Information
Bill and Jane Lannagan opened their Gallery by the Square in Tomintoul in December 2003. The quaint little building was built in the 19th century and has been a cobblers shop, restaurant and a woodcarvers shop.
Renovated by Bill,it has a delightful airy Gallery area showing traditional, contemporary and Jane’s batik fine art paintings, glazed tiles, and art and crafts of other local artists. Jane, who can be seen most days working in the Gallery was influenced by her father Tom Guise, a prolific painter himself - she started developing her own technique when she moved to this area in the late 70’s and has drawn her inspiration from the hues and textures of the Scottish Highlands.
There is also a workshop where Bill offers picture framing, dry mounting, fine art scanning and a giclee printing service.
